Thyrosit tabs are used for:
Treating underactive thyroid. It is also used for treating or preventing certain goiters and as an aid in diagnosing certain thyroid conditions.
Dosage:
For adults with hypothyroidism: should begin with 50 mcg (half tablet) and then slowly increase to 50 mcg every 2-4 weeks until the body system getting to normal. Normal dosage is 100-300 mcg daily.
For adults with heart disease or the elders: should begin with 12.5 – 25 mcg daily. And then slowly increase the dosage.
For Children: should take 25-50 mcg daily.
Administration:
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Special Precautions:
Cardiac disease, Hypertension, diabetes.
Do NOT use Thyrosit if:
• you are allergic to Levothyroxine sodium
• you have certain untreated adrenal gland problems or untreated high thyroid hormone levels
